This discovery stirs their society, as they learn they were once exiled from Hiigara in a forgotten war.
Building the Mothership
Determined to reclaim their lost home, the Kushan embark on a bold project: constructing a colossal mothership that will carry them on a journey to Hiigara. This ship, a marvel of technology with the ability to travel through hyperspace, represents their hope for survival and redemption. Commanded by Captain Sβjet, the mothership becomes the heart of their fleet, housing the last remnants of their people and their dreams of returning to their ancestral planet.
The Taiidan Empire's Wrath
As the Kushan begin their journey, they soon face a dire threat: the Taiidan Empire, a powerful galactic force that once exiled the Kushan from Hiigara. The Taiidan see the Kushanβs return as a threat to their dominance and respond with brutal force. In one of the earliest and most devastating encounters, the Taiidan annihilate Kharak with a planetary siege weapon, wiping out all life on the planet. The mothership and its fleet become the last survivors of the Kushan race.
Allies and Enemies in the Galaxy
The journey to Hiigara is fraught with danger. The Kushan encounter a variety of factions and alien races along the way. The Taiidan hire the Turanic Raiders, a nomadic and hostile group, to attack and harass the Kushan fleet. At the same time, the Kushan uncover ancient technologies and forge alliances with alien species who offer assistance in their struggle. Each hyperspace jump brings them closer to Hiigara, but also reveals more about their lost past and the challenges that lie ahead.
The Final Battle for Hiigara
After numerous battles and hardships, the Kushan reach the Hiigaran system for the final confrontation with the Taiidan. The Taiidan Emperor mobilizes his armada for a decisive battle, determined to prevent the Kushan from reclaiming their homeworld. In a dramatic and strategic conflict, the Kushan fleet, led by the mothership, overcomes the Taiidan forces, defeating the Emperor and liberating Hiigara from his tyrannical rule.
Reclaiming Home and Identity
With the Taiidan defeated, the Kushan finally set foot on Hiigara, reclaiming their ancestral home after generations of exile. The journey not only brings them back to their planet but also to their true identity as a people. The game concludes with a sense of renewal, as the Kushan begin the process of rebuilding their civilization on Hiigara, marking the end of their exile and the rebirth of their culture.
