“What the hell is that in that dust cloud?” said Siiq, general of the Hive class mother ship.“Probes aren’t registering, sir. May be more Taiidan retaliation from our last attack.” said Skaal head at the Fleet Intelligence.“Send in the Strega scout squadron. Tell them I want an immediate status report when they have visual.”“Yes, sir,” Skaal. He announced over the intercom: Strega Scout Squadron, standby for deployment! You have five minutes men!

In the briefing room, Koshiir, head of Tactical Operations, was telling the Strega squadron about their mission. The Strega Scout Squadron was the most elite flight group in the Killer Beez team, the leader of the was General Koshaar.
“Men, there seem to be some Taiidan resistance hiding in a dust cloud. Your mission is to get in there as fast as you can, do a status report and come straight back, do you understand? Do not engage the target!. The Heavy Armor Division will be on stand by until your status report, after you’ve given your report we will assemble a strike force to take them out. Does everyone understand?”
The eleven people answered in unison, “Yes, sir!.”
“Good, dismissed.”

Two minutes later, in the docking bay, the men were getting in their craft getting ready to dispatch, when they were addressed by Siiq.
“Good luck, men, and happy hunting!” and he sent them on their way.
They left, got into formation and went on their way.

Back in the Control Room, Siiq himself was overseeing the operation.
Siiq said, “ ETA?”
“ETA: 3 minutes, sir.”
“How are your men doing, Koshaar?” Siiq said.
“Fine.”
There was a hiss of static, the line was down.
“Damn it, what happened?”
“Line of connection is down due to malfunction in the Sensors Array. We can’t get it back up,” said Skaal.
“Get them out of there!”
Skaal said, “ We can’t sir. “We just have to trust them, believe me they’ll do fine.

Koshaar’s heart was racing, they hadn’t heard from control for a whole minute and they were nearing visual.
Koshaar announced to his men, “ Well, communications is down, but we cam this far, let’s lock and load, what do you say.”
One by one the men confirmed, “Rodger.”
“Rodger.”
“Rodger.”
“Rodger.”
“Rodger.”
“Rodger.”
“Rodger.”
“Rodger.”
“Rodger.”
“Rodger.”
“Negative.”
Koshaar said, “ What’s that Captain?”
“NEGATIVE.”
“We will not fight among our selves, you fall in line soldier!”
“No.”
Suddenly, silence was brought on by the sight before them. It wasn’t a small group of resistance, that Intelligence had thought. But rather it was a carrier guarded by at least a hundred fighters and at least three dozen capital ships.
“Let’s go. Let’s go. Let’s go!” Koshaar said.
Bur it was too late, they had fallen into an ambush, they survived only seconds.

Back at control, they had gotten the Sensor Array back online just in time to hear the screams of agony of their most elite group of fighters. Their voices tiny on the speaker. A light started blinking on the Communications board. Skaal punched the button under it.
“Greetings, this is Diametheus, of the Taiidan Annihilation Fleet. Your impetuous scouts did no harm. Prepare yourself.”
“Diametheus, you coward, show yourself.”
“Of course, of course, as you wish.”
Booooooooooooom. The impact of a blast from an ion cannon rocked the ship. Everyone scrambled to find something to hold on to. Booooooooom. Another blast. The mothership was flanked by two ion cannons, and it’s tiny engines were working as hard as they could to turn and face it’s aggressors.
“Dispatch, the Revelation Heavy Cruiser and give them hell.”
The side bay of the Mothership opened up to unleash the power of the cruiser. Hundreds of mounted guns graced the warcraft. The cruiser slowly moved towards the ion cannon frigates, two Avatar class destroyers followed it. The Avatar turned and fired one shot from it’s massive cannon the ion cannon frigate was immediately turned into scrap metal. The destroyers turned towards the other one and made short work of it. The mothership finally finished turning.
Sheeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwww. Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwww.
At least a half thousand strike craft, and capital ships rushed up on the mothership from the back.
“Damn smart asses,” Siiq said. “Deploy all strike craft, now!”
“Yes, sir,’’ said Skaal.
Hundreds of fighters bombers rushed out of the docking bays of the mothership. They formed a wall to match the enemies. The two walls were closing in on each other fast. It was only a matter of superior firepower. The first shot fired was an ion cannon blast from the Taiidan that blasted straight through the wall killing ten craft. The war persisted. Reinforcements came from both sides, prolonging the conflict. In the end the Killer Beez won, the war was massive and the loses were big, among them Captain Skaal’s daughter, vaporized by an ion cannon blast.
Siiq said, “Come set the coordinates for Hiigara, it’s time for all of us to go home.”
